Final Fantasy XIV received a few important changes with its recent Patch 6.08 update, including some buffs to help even out any imbalances between combat jobs. Though the game is known for having well-balanced combat jobs that are all viable for high-end content, the developers strive to keep it as even as possible. As such, they frequently make adjustments according to the needs of each job, as they did with this latest patch.
The primary issues addressed by Patch 6.08 were server congestion and job balance. To resolve the former, Square Enix officially added the Oceania Data Center to relieve congestion in FFXIV. In order to further balance out the various combat jobs, numerous buffs were added to different job actions.

The biggest buffs in FFXIV's 6.08 patch went to Paladin, Dragoon, Ninja, Samurai, Dancer, and Black Mage. A few moderate buffs went to Machinist and Summoner, and Warrior and Monk each received a buff to just one ability. These changes were exciting for many fans, particularly those who regularly play the jobs with the biggest buffs. Yet, there are still a lot of fans who were disappointed that their jobs didn’t receive the buffs they were hoping for.
Paladin has been the featured job for Endwalker, FFXIV’s most recent expansion. In the trailers and promotional material, the Warrior of Light is depicted as a Paladin. Despite this, Paladin was trailing behind the other tank jobs in terms of damage output. With Patch 6.08, the development team corrected this. The following changes were made to Paladin job actions:
