Sony has revealed an absolutely stacked lineup for February’s PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium library updates. Headlining the fresh batch of games is the excellent first party game Horizon Forbidden West, but then it’s joined by great JRPG Scarlet Nexus, teen horror game The Quarry, Resident Evil 7 and much more.
All games will be joining the Extra and Premium on 21st February next week.
We’re just over a year on from Horizon Forbidden West‘s original release, and its addition to PlayStation Plus could be a sign of how Sony intends to handle their first party games going forward, since they aren’t following Xbox’s lead in adding games day and date.
An epic sequel to the breakout PS4 hit, Forbidden West sees Aloy travel to new lands, battling new machines and facing another world-ending threat head on. In our review, Tuffcub called it “a spectacular robo-beast smack down and thoroughly enjoyable to play.”
Meanwhile Scarlet Nexus is well worth playing, as one of the best JRPGs from 2021, with Jason saying it was filled with “the kind of anime-infused greatness that will appeal to nearly everyone.” in our Scarlet Nexus review.
There’s even some new PS1 games joining the Premium-exclusive Classics library!
