Here’s an unexpected and hilariously random crossover that no one could have seen coming- SNK is collaborating with Cristiano Ronaldo for the former’s upcoming fighting game, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
The same was announced by the football star in a Twitter post, who shared a clip that confirms his involvement in the game. Specific details are unknown, so it remains to be seen what exactly this collaboration will entail. Could the football star be set to appear as a playable character in the fighting title? Hopefully, we’ll have concrete details in the near future.
Ronaldo currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, which is owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Meanwhile, in 2020, SNK was acquired by MiSK Foundation, a non-profit organization owned by the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad bin Salman. The two unlikely partners could have connected through that avenue, though that is, of course, speculation.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will launch on April 24 next year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC. SNK has confirmed that the game will receive three years of post-launch content- read more on that through here.
