The list of possible directors replacing Justin Lin for Fast & Furious 10 include familiar names. In a shocking move, Lin stepped down from directing Fast X this week, just days after filming on the sequel began. While no specifics have been released, Lin's exit was reportedly the result of creative differences on the Fast and Furious project. Lin will, however, remain as one of the film's producers.
Lin has directed a total of five movies in the Fast franchise, starting with The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift back in 2006. He would go on to direct the next three films in the franchise, including Fast Five, which is considered by many to be one of the best movies in the series. After taking a short break to direct Star Trek Beyond, Lin came back to work on F9. Although Lin's exit from Fast X will surely delay the project, the film's creative team will continue filming second unit work until Universal Pictures finds a replacement director.
