A fan-made Frasier trailer imagines the upcoming Paramount+ reboot of the beloved sitcom as something very, very different – a gritty crime drama. Kelsey Grammer's psychiatrist, Dr. Frasier Crane, was first introduced during season 3 of NBC's Boston-based sitcom Cheers as a love interest for waitress Diane Chambers. The character went on to become much more than that and eventually received his own eponymous spinoff, which aired on the same network in 1993 and found Fraiser moving to back to his hometown of Seattle to become a radio psychiatrist.
Frasier ran for 11 successful seasons before going off the air in 2004, and it still stands as one of the very few spinoffs able to rival its parent series. With Grammer as the lead, the show boasted a strong cast of supporting characters, including Frasier's equally snobby younger brother and fellow psychiatrist, Niles Crane (played by David Hyde Pierce). The first talks of a Frasier revival began in 2016, though it was confirmed that Grammar was spearheading a reboot for Paramount+ last year. There hasn't been much substantial news since then as the long-awaited revival remains in development.
