There’s a small Fallout 76 patch out this week, which, naturally, addresses a ton of bug fixes amid some general alterations.
Dubbed update “1.6.4.31,” (man this game has a lot of patch notes!), it clocks in anywhere from 1.6GB on the low end to 9.1GB on the high end, depending on your platform. Fixes include addressing a VAT bug that turns your screen black (that’s good!) while using melee attacks in third-person, “frozen and unresponsive enemies,” and several quest glitches. It’s good that these are being addressed, but it’s wild how many bugs can still pop up years later.
This is all a prelude to Test Your Metal, which is still due in June. If you want, you can test the update in the PTS (private test server) now: but remember that the entire PTS process will be changing soon. As a reminder, the full Fallout 76 transition FAQ can be found here, which answers questions regarding the PTS, transfer, and memberships.
