With next-gen and Xbox versions still in development, however, and with no news on the game's previously announced Nintendo Switch port, owners of the portable console may have gotten restless already.
However,the developer ofFall Guys, Mediatonic, has gone on record to confirm that the Nintendo Switch version of the game is still on track, even though there's nothing new to share on that front just yet. Switch owners hoping to play this strangely affable battle royale shouldn't be too concerned about its eventual release, then.
Fall Guys is Crossing Over With Bugsnax
The sheer scope of popularity enjoyed by this game in its heyday is hard to quantify, with even Hollywood superstars mentioning it as their go-to video game. Tom Holland said he enjoyed Fall Guys, for example. That being said, news about Fall Guys' previously announced Nintendo Switch port was nowhere to be found for quite some time now, which is likely what prompted the developer to mention that it's still being made.
One of the last official references to this particular version of the game was the original announcement of the fact that Fall Guys is coming to Nintendo Switch, and that was featured as part of Nintendo's February Direct episode of 2021. At the time, the Switch build was purported to launch sometime in the summer of 2021, but something seems to have cropped up to push it back by a significant margin.
