Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is the perfect example of a game falling behind a stronger cultural force despite its own impressive popularity. In late summer 2020, Fall Guys took the Internet by storm only to be overshadowed by Among Us; another multiplayer game featuring colorful, bean-like characters. Despite its dominance in mainstream gaming crowds being relatively short-lived, Fall Guys has a dedicated enough fanbase that multiple games can be held at once. Unlike a meme going around the official Twitter page’s posts like to imply, it is far from a dead game.
That being said, Fall Guys could do more to improve quality-of-life features, as well as the overall experience. The game is a far cry from what it once was, and that's mostly for the better. However, every new season comes with the except new theme; new minigames that tie into that aforementioned theme; and a plethora of new costumes, banners, and nicknames that players can collect by leveling up. While there are multiple ways for Fall Guys to successfully keep its current players and attract more people, one of the best and most innovative strategies could be the implementation of a level editor.

After almost two years, Fall Guys has established a strong identity when it comes to both mechanics and visuals. The bright multicolored environments, cartoonish characters, and games reminiscent of the TV show Wipeout are all recognizable aspects of this party game. With such iconic assets used for levels, a competent level editor could be fun to tinker with for many fans. The assets themselves are just broad enough to be included in any content, yet specific enough to have particular purposes.
