Almost universally acknowledged as the best party member, it seems Final Fantasy VII's actual star, Tifa Lockhart, will get even more of the spotlight in the as-yet-unnamed sequel to Rebirth and the conclusion of the Remake trilogy (we still tear our hair thinking about how Square Enix squandered the opportunity to call it Reunion).

brings word from the «Summoning a Masterpiece» panel, where producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Naoki Hamaguchi shared their experiences creating Rebirth. Genki says that Hamaguchi wants to show a new, stronger Tifa, which would make sense considering we are approaching the original Final Fantasy VII's dramatic inclusion. Further, a new gameplay system will be introduced, one specifically involving Tifa. One thing this trilogy could definitely use more of is mini-games, so we hope it's one of those.

I’ve got full faith in wherever they got for the final entry in the trilogy. So far, the first two are two of my favorite games ever made full stop. Can’t wait for more. I still miss playing Rebirth all these months later. Hope the wait isn’t as long for the third one. Can’t wait to see how they end
