When players get together with a group of friends to play Evil Dead: The Game, they'll likely be coordinating their efforts to defeat the demon. And that's a wise thing, if every role isn't covered, they'll be missing a very critical asset against the deadites. Enemy demon players won't be kind and generally tend to exploit these weaknesses early and often.

But it's not as simple as having one of each class. Some leaders only help out ranged attackers. Some support survivors require a near-monopoly on the items. A perfectly synced up team is nearly impossible to beat in Evil Dead: The Game. These are the characters that mix together the best.
There is, of course, a case to be made for every character left off of this list, but there is perhaps the least debate about Ash (Ash Vs The Evil Dead) being the best leader in the game. The other survivors grant auras that boost either melee or ranged damage; this version of Ash grants both.
Oh, and that same aura also reduces the effect of fear against the group. As a bonus, due to the nature of the bonuses, this leader should be predominantly on the front lines helping out with damage, which is quite helpful considering that many team compositions only have a sole unit up front to take on all that heat.
Perhaps the greatest case to make for Henry the Red is his versatility. The other two choices are roped into trying to get a specific piece of melee weaponry. Henry can pick up the best available option, greatly contributing to his rank at the top of the best warriors.
