The year has already gotten off to a strong start, with releases like the record-breaking Elden Ring from Soulsborne developer FromSoftware and Guerilla Games' expansive action RPG Horizon Forbidden West ensuring the first few months of 2022 were anything but disappointing. Although some highly anticipated games like Starfield have already been pushed back into 2023, the rest of the year isn't shaping up too badly either, with other exciting titles like brand-new IP Forspoken and the action adventure God of War Ragnarok still on the near horizon.
June is typically a big month for video games, with one of the largest showcases in the industry, E3, usually slated to take place during the month. E3 may be canceled this year, but there are still several intriguing showcases from developers to look forward to, as well as more than a few releases. May might have been a little quiet when it came to massive new titles, but June is more than picking up the slack with an array of video games to get players through the start of the summer.
