Choose or Die pays homage to '80s video games and includes classic songs from the decade. The Black Mirror-inspired storyline follows Kayla, a student in need of money, who finds a survival game titled CURS>R that promises a $100,000 prize to the winner. What seems like a bit of fun soon turns dark, as the game's deadly trials become a reality.
Recent horrors have followed the trend of being stuffed full of popular or catchy songs. The Scream 2022 soundtrack, for example, features 11 songs in its 2-hour run-time. With so many references to '80s culture, it would have been easy for Choose or Die to be filled with music from the likes of era-defining bands, such as Joy Division and Iron Maiden.

However,Choose or Die doesn't include many songs at all. Director Toby Meakins instead uses an eerie video game-based score to build suspense throughout the movie. Even so, the soundtrack features a handful of well-selected modern and '80s songs. Here's every song featured in Choose or Die and when they play in the film.
«WEST» by Ivy Sole — After standing up for a colleague in her part-time cleaning job, Kayla cycles through town listening to «WEST,» as she goes to meet her friend Isaac.
«Song 32» by Noname — While Kayla is fixing up an old computer gaming system, «Song 32» plays in the background.
«It's Like That» by Run-D.M.C. — After two traumatic experiences with CURS>R, Kayla tells Isaac all about how the game is becoming a reality. While they wait for the game's third level, «It's Like That» plays in the background, which Isaac claims is «their» song.
«Nothing's Gonna Hurt You Baby» by Cigarettes After Sex — Following the movie's jump-scare-filled third level, Isaac comes up
