In Hulu's The Valet, Eugenio Derbez's titular character Antonio sees his life turn sideways when movie star Olivia's (Samara Weaving) PR team hires him to pose as the actress' new boyfriend following a massive cheating scandal involving wealthy businessman Vincent (Max Greenfield). Despite their immensely different backgrounds, Antonio and Olivia impact each other's lives by showing each other their true self-worth. A remake of French film La Doublure directed by Francis Veber, The Valet juxtaposes the world of Hollywood fame with the lives of working-class citizens with a comedic tone.
A renowned actor and comedian, Derbez notably wrote and directed 2013's Instructions Not Included, which became the highest-grossing Spanish-language film in the United States. Weaving's standout roles include her portrayal of Grace in 2019's Ready or Not, as well as the role of Jessica Chandler in the Hulu series Nine Perfect Strangers.
