Patton Oswalt, who plays Pip the Troll in the MCU, addresses rumors that an Eternals sequel is currently in development. As part of Marvel Studios' rebuilding after the culmination of the Infinity Saga, new heroes have been introduced into the franchise across Phase 4, including the Eternals. Created by the Celestials, the near-immortal beings were introduced in Chloé Zhao's Eternals, released in 2021.
The main Eternals team consists of 10 members who were sent to Earth thousands of years ago to protect humans from alien Deviants. Since their arrival on Earth, they had been blending in with humans, believing they were intended for their protection, unaware of their true mission outlined by the Celestials. Aside from the titular Eternals, however, the movie also debuted more new characters in the MCU, including Harington's Dane Whitman and Mahershala Ali's Blade (though only via one voice-over line in Eternals' second post-credits scene). During Eternals' first post-credits scene, however, two more fresh MCU players were introduced in Titan prince Eros/Starfox (Harry Styles) and his sidekick, Pip the Troll (Oswalt). Despite having limited involvement in the film, Oswalt is expected to appear in the inevitable Eternals 2, which is currently rumored to be in development.

Speaking with ComicBook, Oswalt addressed this speculation, saying that he hasn't heard anything about Eternals 2. That being said, the actor expressed his excitement about the idea of the sequel, saying that it would be «amazing» if Eternals 2 followed Pip the Troll and Starfox's adventures.
