Although the story is named after the titular protagonist and mainly follows his journey to becoming a full-fledged ninja, Naruto is about Sasuke Uchiha just as much as it is about Naruto Uzumaki. A fan favorite character right from his introduction, Sasuke stirs up a lot of trouble in the 700 chapters that make up the series, but ultimately redeems himself in the end. Sasuke's story begins when he is placed on Team 7 alongside Naruto and Sakura, and he reveals that his goal is to get revenge on his brother, who killed their entire clan and family. After learning the truth about his brother, Sasuke redirects his hatred towards Konoha and the rest of the ninja world, and Naruto. Ultimately, Sasuke's story is one of hatred and vengeance and how delving into darkness can upend the entire world.
