The Epic Games Store continues to give away free games each week, more than three years after the digital storefront launched its awesome weekly freebies program. Epic has confirmed that the free games program will continue through at least the end of 2022. Every Thursday at the same time 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET--Epic gives up between one and three free games. You merely need to create a free Epic account and enable two-factor authentication to start snagging freebies. At this point, Epic has given away well over 100 free games, and there's no sign that the program will stop any time soon. We keep this article up to date weekly to highlight both the current free games and next week's offerings.
From now until July 7 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, you can grab Geneforge I — Mutagen, Iratus: Lord of the Dead, and Hood: Outlaws & Legends. Geneforge is remaster of the 2001 fantasy adventure of the same name. You control an army of mutants (which you create yourself) while exploring more than 80 areas and engaging in tactical combat. Iratus is also a strategy game set in a fantasy world. It features a roguelike progression system and turn-based combat. Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a medieval action game in which two teams of four players are tasked with bypassing security to get to treasure. You compete against both the computer AI and the other team.
Starting July 7, you can grab Ancient Enemy and Killing Floor 2. Ancient Enemy is a role-playing card game set in a world controlled by evil forces. Many RPG card games have a Hearthstone vibe to them, but Ancient Enemy has unique systems, including cool combo and counterattacks, that make it feel different than most other card games available now.
