Cells and Scrap are the two major resources in . Cells are directly used to buy weapons or improve characters while Scrap is spent to upgrade the Saloon base, which can provide passive bonuses. Both will be extremely useful to gather, and spend, wisely.
Improving the Saloon is the most direct way of boosting future resource gains. This typically means that you should focus on Scrap first, and then hunt down Cells at a later point. Attempting the inverse will be more of a grind, as you’ll have a weaker and smaller team.
Scrap and Cells drop from two different mechanics, making the rate of acquisition uneven. Scrap is the more frequent of the two resources to obtain as it drops from destroying enemies. Cells are instead more of a random prize found within the level or earned through questing.
Scrap
Scrap is left by any defeated enemy, regardless of how they died. This means you can set up a turret and automatically kill off several waves of enemies. Any Scrap directly drops on the ground and either you or another teammate needs to manually pick it up. Be sure to farm and double-check all enemy spawns before advancing to the next zone.
After farming Scrap a few times, you will have enough to spend on the Saloon’s Workshop. Purchase the features that improve the amount of Scrap gained like Ragpicking and Re-Recycling. Standing Room Only also allows you to bring a third character on a mission, who can be assigned Scrap collection duty.
Cells
Cells are the slower of the two currencies. The most reliable method to getting them is by completing various character quests. Each quest will yield either one or two guaranteed Cells. The aforementioned Standing Room Only results in you being able to complete more characters’
