In a recent interview with BBC, Clarke was asked whether her Game of Thrones character, Daenerys Targaryen, would be making a grand return to the hit HBO franchise. After mentioning that Harington informed her about the project and confirming that the sequel series is indeed in development, she gave an answer that left no room for debate or misinterpretation. «No, I think I'm done,» she said with a laugh. Clarke was firm in her response, making it clear that she has no desire to come back as the Mother of Dragons.
