PC manufacturer, Emdoor, showcased its latest Intel Meteor Lake & Lunar Lake "Core Ultra" powered gaming handheld and notebook.
At Computex 2024, we saw a range of new gaming handhelds powered by the latest AMD & Intel CPUs along with brand-new laptop designs featuring next-gen Intel Lunar Lake & AMD Strix APUs. One of the manufacturers who was also displaying their latest PCs was Emdoor who are widely known for their rugged laptop and tablet designs. The company wants to expand its presence in the PC and gaming markets through its latest products.
Starting with the Emdoor EM-GP08MTL, we are looking at an Intel Meteor Lake "Core Ultra 100" gaming handheld which features up to the Core Ultra 7 155H CPU. The handheld comes with Intel's Arc graphics based on the Alchemist architecture and sports an 8" 16:10 OLED display with a rated resolution of 1920x1200. The handheld is equipped with LPDDR5x-7500 memory in 16 and 32 GB configurations and features a single PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 slot for storage which can support a baseline 512 GB capacity and can be expanded up to 2 TB. The console is based on the Windows 11 OS.
In terms of design, the Emdoor gaming handheld is very compact and features large triggers and RGB-Lit joysticks. The controller features a USB Type-C port for power plus an additional USB Type-C port and has audio cut-outs on the front. There's an exhaust vent on the top-left side of the case. Emdoor expects to release a Lunar Lake version of this by late 2024 or early 2025.
Talking about Lunar Lake, Emdoor also has a brand new notebook coming out powered by Intel's Core Ultra 200V CPUs. This notebook is targeted at the "AI PC" segment and uses the "EM-326-ML14LNL" codename. It features a 14" 16:10 display with a
