Marvel star Elizabeth Olsen reveals that she began to lose roles after signing on to play the Scarlet Witch in the MCU. Olsen first appeared in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron as Wanda Maximoff, alongside her twin brother Pietro, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Before her MCU debut, Olsen had appeared in a number of roles, including 2014's Godzilla (also alongside Taylor-Johnson) and 2013's Old Boy. Her ever-expanding role within the Marvel Universe has seen her appear in a number of MCU projects, most recently starring in the hotly anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
After Captain America: Winter Soldier's end-credit scene teased her exciting entry into the MCU, Wanda has since gone on to have one of the more in-depth character developments across Marvel's lineup of heroes. After both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame offered small glimpses of her abilities, Wanda's true power was not fully explored until last year's WandaVision, which put Olsen in a leading role and saw Wanda tap into her potential as the Scarlet Witch. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness explored this even further, with Olsen receiving critical and fan acclaim for her portrayal of the tormented character.

However, despite having established herself as the MCU's leading lady, Olsen has now revealed that her involvement with the Marvel universe has actually hindered her in some ways, such as losing out on other roles.
