Elden Ring players obtain Torrent early on in the game, and they will find themselves calling on the creature countless times during their adventure.
Elden Ring players can use Torrent not only to travel great distances in the Lands Between, but they can also utilize its double jump ability to reach new heights. The mount adds another layer to Elden Ring's traversal mechanics, giving players more freedom when it comes to getting from one point to the next. Zullie the Witch has uploaded a new video discussing Torrent from Elden Ring, explaining two of the mount's biggest flaws from a design perspective. The first pointed out in the video is the fact that sometimes Torrent doesn't double jump when the player falls off a cliff. There was speculation in the community that this was due to the size of the weapon players have equipped when falling, but Zullie the Witch explains that it is instead due to the way certain weapons are held. Zullie the Witch says that it is «most likely a glitch.» If so, it will be interesting to see if FromSoftware attempts to fix it in a future Elden Ring update.
