Impressively, an Elden Ring speedrunner completed a no-death run of the challenging FromSoftware title in just over two and a half hours. Like other Souls games before it, calling Elden Ring a difficult game to master seems an understatement. The Lands Between-set adventure comes packed with more than its fair share of challenges to overcome, from deceptively simple foes to unusually large bosses with herculean skills and abilities. Yet, many a player has found themselves fully invested in the experience since FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment shipped the title late last month.
Speedrun playthroughs of typically difficult games always prove interesting to watch. Last year, someone completed Housemarque's Returnal on PS5 with only five minutes on the clock, a truly impressive feat given the sheer intensity of the roguelike title's moment-to-moment action. Twitch streamer Mitchriz took things up a notch for their Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice speedrun; notably, the streamer finished the FromSoftware-developed RPG while blindfolded in under five hours. Unsurprisingly, the storied Japanese studio's latest project has already attracted the attention of equally dedicated speedrunners.
