Bandai Namco has shared the global release timings for Elden Ring, and the PC and console versions won’t launch at the same time.
It’s been a long time coming, but Elden Ring is finally ready to launch this Friday on February 25. As such, Bandai Namco has put together a schedule on its website that explains the exact time the game will release digitally on PC and consoles.
Particularly eager fans can begin pre-loading Elden Ring 48 hours before launch, so they can start playing immediately. In fact, pre-loads are already available on Xbox; PlayStation and PC owners must wait a couple more days.
Curiously, the launch times are different between the PC and console versions. Here in the UK, for example, the console version releases at midnight on the dot, but PC owners will be able to start playing an hour earlier at 11pm, on February 24. The timing for the console releases also differs between time zones, since it launches at midnight local time. So, from the perspective of the UK, Japan will have already been able to play Elden Ring on consoles for nine hours beforehand, since Japan’s midnight is only 3pm over here.
This is pretty much the standard for game releases, but this won’t be the case for the PC. That version launches at the exact same time regardless of time zone (11pm GMT, 3pm PT, 6pm ET, etc.), meaning the PC version will be available from a few to several hours before or after the console version depending on when you live.
Undoubtedly, this will lead to plenty of gameplay videos and streams going up before Elden Ring is available in certain countries, which means a risk of spoilers.
Fans should already be on high alert,
