Elden Ring, the hit RPG from Dark Souls developers FromSoftware, expands on the classic Soulslike formula with a sprawling open world. The Lands Between are full of secrets for players to discover, from terrifying bosses to revealing questlines. In fact, some of Elden Ring's best questlines are so well hidden it makes them very difficult to start, and even harder to finish.
One of these is Preceptor Seluvis' quest, which requires players to have discovered the sorcerer's secret cave, as well as bought all the Elden Ring Sorceries that he has for sale. At one point in Seluvis' quest, players will need to acquire a unique item called the Amber Starlight, which the Preceptor intends to use in a dangerous potion.

This mid-game region is found to the north of Liurnia of the Lakes and accessed via the Grand Lift of Dectus or the Ruin-Strewn Precipice. The Amber Starlight can be found in a cave to the northeast of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace, which is only accessible through a narrow ravine.
It's possible to buy a Weathered Map of the Amber Starlight's exact location from Pidia, Carian Servant in Carian Manor. However, players who'd like to skip the cost should simply head east for a short distance from the Site of Grace, before turning north and searching for the gap in the cliffs.
At the back of the cave, players will find the Amber Starlight beneath a statue of Malenia and Miquella. There are several Land Octopi in the area, so players will need to be ready to run or fight after grabbing the Amber Starlight.
