Magma Wyrm Makar is another Great Enemy in Elden Ring. Fighting him is entirely optional and does not affect the story whatsoever. Magma Wyrm Makar guards one of the entrances to Atlas Plateau. The main path is through the Grand Lift of Dectus, and you will need two medallions for it. However, if you do not possess them, you can go through Ruin-Strewn Precipice and face the Magma Wyrm boss.

The fight requires proper spacing because of the constant magma the boss spews out. Aside from that, there are more things to avoid, which will be explained in this guide.
Magma Wyrm Makar is located in Ruin-Strewn Precipice in Northern Liurnia of the Lakes. The boss fight is optional, and you can reach Atlas Plateau by interacting with the Grand Lift of Dectus. You can summon Spirit Ashes or online players to help you in the fight. Apart from these, you can summon the NPC Great Horned Tragoth and also Blackguard Big Boggart if you have done his quest and not killed him. Defeating the boss will reward you with an armament and a dragon heart. In addition to this, a new draconic power will also be added to the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in Caelid.
The boss is resistant to Slash Damage and Frostbite, so avoid using that.
