FromSoftware's Elden Ring is set to finally see the full co-op treatment through a new multiplayer mod being released this week. While co-op exists natively in Elden Ring, allowing users to connect online in the game to tackle its vast array of tough enemies and bosses, many players feel it doesn't live up to its full potential as well as it could.
The PC modding community has been treating Elden Ring players to fun and often hilarious new content since its release in February. The vanilla version of the game offers plenty for players to explore and conquer, but through the addition of mods, users can enjoy a wealth of new content ranging from gameplay improvements and changes, to the addition of characters not typically seen in the Lands Between. Earlier this week, a popular Soulsborne modder pit all the game's demigods together in a massive grudge match, while another viral video saw hilarious antics ensue after characters from The Simpsons were modded intoElden Ring.

Nexus Mods modder LukeYui is preparing for the release of a full co-op mode mod for Elden Ring, set to enter public beta on May 27 (via GamesRadar). While Elden Ring already has co-op, the Elden Ring Seamless Co-Op mod, showcased on LukeYui's YouTube channel, seeks to take away many of the game's current multiplayer limitations in order to give players a more traditional cooperative experience. This means that players will be able to explore the Lands Between without being stopped by a fog wall or forced to resummon after defeating a boss.
