An Elden Ring player recently shared footage of their victory over a tough foe, which they claimed thanks to the enemy's accidental fall from a building. As with every other Souls game, even Elden Ring's tutorial boss proves a difficult beast to surmount. Of course, that hasn't stopped countless players from continuing onward to try their hand at The Land Between's various challenges.
Developer FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment released the long-awaited title on PC and consoles just last week. And while many a critic has already dubbed Elden Ring a masterpiece, there does exist a few loose ends that developers will need to tie up in the days and weeks ahead. Most notably, widespread frame rate drops and performance issues have plagued the open-world role-playing game since its launch. At the very least, users can rest assured that FromSoftware and Bandai Namco know of Elden Ring's performance troubles and intend to deploy a fix as soon as possible. But some setbacks, such as someone's struggle to down a difficult enemy, must be resolved by the player and the player alone.

Earlier this week, Twitter user andysolxiv shared a roughly 30-second gameplay clip of their battle against a large, ax-wielding knight. The fight starts well enough for the player, courtesy of a perfectly executed backstab that removes a chunk of the knight's health bar.
