An Elden Ring boss suddenly ran off into the distance after defeating a Tarnished, leaving the fallen player to respawn and wonder where it was headed off to. FromSoftware’s latest dark fantasy RPG is filled with powerful enemies and towering monsters, all trying to prevent the player from gathering the lost fragments of the titular Elden Ring and becoming the Elden Lord. These challenging Elden Ring enemies range from unassuming dung beetles and goats to mighty Elden Ring bosses like the Tree Sentinel and Godfrey, First Elden Lord, and there have been plenty of memes and funny moments surrounding these enemies as players continue to dive into the vast open world of Elden Ring.
Not every boss encounter is mandatory to completing Elden Ring's story, and the game’s open-world, free-exploring nature means that not every player will battle the same bosses in exactly the same way. The internet is filled with clips depicting the many different ways that fights against Elden Ring bosses like Commander Niall can play out, as well as some creative ways that players have taken these terrifying foes down. Some Elden Ring players use mods to summon stronger creatures like the spirit of Elden Ring endgame boss Godfrey, First Elden Lord or even a massive rolling boulder to take down their enemies with ease, while others have maneuvered bosses into getting stuck on castle walls so they can slowly chip away at their health from a safe distance. However, Elden Ring is still very much a FromSoftware title in the vein of Dark Souls, and players will certainly see the red “You Died” text quite often while battling the many bosses of the Lands Between.
