In Dying Light 2 Weapon Repair works differently from Dying Light, Dying Light players would collect Scrap to repair weapons, and weapons would have a certain amount of Weapon Repairs before completely breaking. InDying Light 2, gear and weapons do not have a Weapon Repair limit and players do not use Scrap to repair weapons, they use Weapon Mods and Attachments.
To Repair a weapon in Dying Light 2, players will have to have Weapon Mod Blueprints. These Blueprints are split into 3 categories Tip, Shaft, and Grip. And depending on the Weapon Rarity will determine if a weapon will be able to use all three categories. When a player adds a Weapon Mod to a weapon, it will increase its Durability.

Durability can be increased even after a weapon has been fully broken. One strategy players can utilize is using all the weapon’s durability normally with no weapon mods. Then, after the weapon is fully broken, add Weapon Mods to increase its Durability back to max, extending the weapon’s life and adding more usage with elements.
Combat Weapon Mod Blueprints in Dying Light 2 also come in different Rarities as weapons do. Common, Uncommon, Rare, Unique, and Artifact. And depending on the Rarity, it will change how much Durability players will get back on a weapon when equipping it, the higher the Rarity the better. In order to equip a Weapon Mod players must first have the Weapon Mod Blueprint and have the required materials to craft it. Players can buy Weapon Mods at Mastercraftsman Stations all around the city.
