New Dying Light 2 Mod Introduces a ‘Hardcore Mode’

When Dying Light 2: Stay Human was released at the beginning of the month, it was received with a mixed response from critics and the community alike, though most agree the Parkour mechanics are something to write home about. Whatever the reviews say, it hasn't stopped the developers from showing the game some love. With Techland recently releasing free DLC, it's evident that the team wants it to have an impact of some kind. It's not just official updates that are keeping the game ticking over, either.

There have been a number of modders who have already dedicated themselves to improving Dying Light 2 with their own contributions. Among a number of other add-ons, there's one standout patch that creates a hardcore mode for the game. Called «Harmod Redux,» it does a number of things to make the experience more challenging for players. The mod adjusts stamina and noise management, adds more zombies, and makes zombies tougher. With the mod, it's possible to «die really quickly in encounters.»

Dying Light 2 Death Loop Bug Finally Fixed

The world of Dying Light 2 is rife with zombies, and while the studio has acknowledged that there need to be some fixes when it comes to the ragdoll physics, zombies are part and parcel of the experience. Hardmod Redux creator Zadyk described their add-on as something that makes the game almost like 28 Days Later. It's important to mention that the mod is currently in alpha state, according to the description page, and that other difficulty modes will be supported later.

There are already a number of updates and tweaks that have been coming to the fore. There are some Dying Light 2 mods that enhance the draw distance and improve the physics, and this latest one represents just one of what could be
