Techland has really gone above and beyond with its most recent release, Dying Light 2. Much like its predecessor, Techland promised before release that Dying Light 2 would be supported with both free and paid content long after the game's February 2022 release, and looking at the game a good few months after it's hit store shelves, that's certainly the case. Over the last few months, Techland has introduced new cosmetics, missions, weapons, gear, challenges, and even an entire New Game Plus mode to Dying Light 2, all absolutely free of charge.
Even now, almost five months after Dying Light 2's release, it seems as though Techland is only getting started. Just a few weeks ago, Techland brought its "In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner" update to Dying Light 2, which laid the groundwork for the game's future and was the first real step of Techland's five-year plan of post-launch content. One week ago, Dying Light 2 received its most recent update. Simply titled the «1.4.2 Update,» this latest patch doesn't bring any new content to Dying Light 2, but it does fix some of the game's most severe technical bugs and issues, some of which fans have been requesting since the game's release.
