It’s off to the races for the tenth major update for Forza Horizon 5 and the game’s first expansion. Both the Series 10 update and the Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels expansion have released and are live on the servers for all players to jump into. The new Series 10 Update for Forza Horizon 5 is mandatory to access to the Hot Wheels expansion, but it also includes a lot of changes and improvements for all players in the base game.
Extreme E vehicles enter the ever-expanding car roster, bringing high-octane 4×4 off-road action with the power of pure electricity. You can also unlock four returning Porsche vehicles from various eras as rewards in the Festival Playlist throughout the next four seasons. New customization options are available throughout the game, including new race suits, collectibles, billboards, emotes, and even new Xbox/Steam achievements. These include special achievements specifically for the Hot Wheels expansion.
On the more technical side of things, a new save data recovery system will help players restore a previous save file backup in the event it gets lost. Additionally, this update squashes some big bugs, including a glitch in the Auction House that would take Credits away if a player’s bid failed. Other fixes include a physics fix that made top-heavy cars unstable back in the 9th update, among many others. The full rundown of patch notes are available on the Forza Support website.
For those that want to jump into the new Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels expansion immediately, it’ll set you back 10GB. So, look out for that. For returning players, the Series 10 update itself starts as a 14.86GB download. Auto-updates should be available regardless if you have the Microsoft Store version or the Steam edition
