In an odd but fascinating discovery, players have uncovered that Techland's newest post-apocalyptic action-adventure Dying Light 2: Stay Human features a hidden hideout that pays tribute to Kyle Crane,Dying Light's main protagonist, and includes a unique item that is a clear-cut reference to Super Mario. Dying Light 2 officially launched last week after being in development for seven years and getting delayed twice. While being mostly favored for its top-notch parkour, open-world exploration, and thrilling combat, the title was criticized for its technical shortcomings which were later addressed by the developers who released a day one patch that fixed more than 1000s bugs that riddled the game.
Set as a sequel to the survival horror gameDying Light, Dying Light 2 takes place in an isolated urban city 20 years after Kyle Crane's failed attempt at finding a cure for the zombie virus. Dying Light 2 follows freelance runner Aiden Caldwell as he completes jobs for Villedor's citizens to uncover more information about his past. Taking on tasks in a freely-explorable world four times bigger than the original, players can use the title's upgraded parkour mechanics and gadgets to easily travel around the city and evade oncoming zombies and faction enemies. WhileDying Light 2's s new combat and traversal mechanics are set to help the title stand out compared to its predecessor, one of its most notable changes is its new adaptive storytelling, which features a branching storyline that is determined by choices and consequences that impact the entirety of the game.
