Val Chmerkovskiy from Dancing With The Stars admits his brother Maks Chmerkovskiy was scared when he was stuck in Ukraine at the start of the war. In February, Maks documented his days while trapped in Kyiv amid the Russian invasion. The dancer shared how he was planning on escaping the country, revealing he even got arrested at one point. After a while, Maks decided to go to Poland and help those trying to cross the border from Ukraine for safety. Maks has since been updating his followers on Instagram showing what Ukraine has gone through since the Russian invasion, as well as the efforts he has been providing to help the people of Ukraine.
