Honoring its promises, the publisher released Dragon's Dogma 2 updates on all platforms, including the most recent patch for Xbox Series X and S players. The update addresses the most common player complaints, such as microtransactions, frame rate issues, and the hassle of starting a new game. On Xbox Series X and S, there's a new option to switch Motion Blur on and off and limit the frame rate to 30 FPS, while the option to turn Ray Tracing on or off is only available on Xbox Series X. However, Capcom adds a fine print in the patch notes mentioning that these options should not significantly affect Dragon's Dogma 2's frame rate and that further refinements are planned.
The update also expands the number of «Art of Metamorphosis» items available at the Pawn Guilds to 99, fixes some bugs and text displays, and unlocks the quest for players to acquire their own home earlier. These updates mark the first wave of Dragon's Dogma 2 patches since its release. Capcom has promised to continuously release new improvements to the RPG until players' concerns are addressed, and all backlash is resolved.
