Dragon Quest fans are hoping that a recent update to The Flames of Fate's logo might be an indication that more news about the project will be released in the near future.
In just one month, it'll be two years since Square Enix confirmed that the twelfth Dragon Quest game, The Flames of Fate, was in development, and what a quiet two years it has been. Beyond some small bits of information here and there and the official reveal trailer showing off a fiery logo, Square Enix has kept pretty quiet about the state of Dragon Quest 12 since it was first announced.

Although Square Enix is still keeping quiet, it seems that it might be ready to tell us more about the game soon - at least that's what fans are hoping after spotting that the game's logo was recently updated randomly. As reported by Twisted Voxel, the updated logo comes from Square Enix's career recruitment website, superficially for Creative Business Unit 2 Division, who work on the Dragon Quest series alongside Octopath Traveller, Bravely Default, and Nier.
Although little is said about Dragon Quest 12 itself, the updated logo for the game can be seen right at the top of the career recruitment post. The logo itself seems to be the same as it was in the reveal trailer, but there's now a new trademark in the bottom right that shows that the trademark has been updated for 2023.
It's an incredibly minor update on the project but, considering we haven't heard anything of it since it was announced, it's notable that Square Enix is actively mentioning it now.
