As Dragon Ball fans know, Frieza is one of the most malevolent and gleefully sinister villains in the entire mythos, and while he may not be the most powerful bad guy around, he is certainly the most evil. However, one Dragon Ball spin-off story confirms Vegeta’s father could have been even more evil than Lord Frieza himself.
Vegeta’s father, King Vegeta, has a troublesome history with Frieza to say the least. Frieza comes from a long line of tyrannical intergalactic rulers who have held dominion over countless planets throughout the universe, including the Saiyan homeworld of Planet Vegeta. When Frieza’s father, King Cold, gave Frieza Planet Vegeta to rule over as he saw fit, Frieza proved to be an even harsher dictator than his father with a much more aggressive strategy of using the Saiyans to conquer planets across the universe. However, Frieza’s use for the Saiyans quickly waned, so with the approval of the Destroyer God, Lord Beerus, Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta, killing King Vegeta and all of the other Saiyans who weren’t on a mission off-world at the time. This left only a handful of members of the warrior race alive throughout the cosmos including Vegeta, Goku, and Broly.
