Turning Red is Pixar’s latest animation — does it have an after credits scene? Directed by Domee Shi from a screenplay by her and Julia Cho, Turning Red was intended to have a theatrical release, but that changed following the Omicron variant of COVID-19. The animated film joined its Pixar predecessors, including Soul and Luca, to become a Disney+ streaming exclusive.
Turning Red follows Meilin “Mei” Lee (Rosalie Chiang), a vibrant 13-year-old girl who has a great group of friends, is a fantastic student, and gets excited about most things, including the boy band 4*Town.
