Gardening is an essential mechanic in Disney Dreamlight Valley as it helps players grow their own ingredients to cook all different types of meals. There are currently eight biomes in the world of Disney Dreamlight Valley; Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor, Frosted Heights, Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and Forgotten Lands. The first two are accessible upon starting the game, while the rest can only be unlocked using Dreamlight.
Each biome has its own Goofy’s Stall that sells different kinds of Ingredients and materials. Additionally, all items have their own time to grow, for example, some can grow in a few minutes, while others may need hours.

There are only three options available in Seafood; Clam, Oyster, and Scallop. All of them can be found in Dazzle Beach. Like Spices and Herbs, these materials respawn after a certain time.
Other than the normal ingredients players gather in Disney Dreamlight Valley, there is also one Foraging material that can be planted, which is Cotton. This item is used to create Fabric using the Crafting Station. Some characters ask for it in their Friendship Quest like Anna from Frozen.
