When Diablo Immortal streamer Quin69 told viewers that the road to $20,000 had begun during one of his streams last week, few could have foreseen that he'd ever reach the end of it. After all, the odds that he had already spent more than NZ$10,000 on Diablo Immortalwithout getting a single 5/5-Star Legendary Gem already seemed unlikely enough. Sadly, however, the streamer's luck hasn't improved one bit since then.
Eight days and countless Rifts later, Quin69 has now reached yet another unlikely milestone, with his most recent stream pushing his total spend well past the NZ$20,000 mark. Unfortunately for him, due to the way that Diablo Immortal's controversial pity system works, he's still no closer to getting his hands on one of the elusive 5/5-Star Legendary Gems than he was when he first started spending.
Diablo Immortal Players Are Not Impressed With 10 Million Installs Reward
In just a few weeks, Quin69 has spent a staggering NZ$20,915.82 without getting a single 5/5-Star Legendary Gem. Given that the optimum build would require six such gems, he still has an awful long way to go in order to reach perfection. In fact, it's now looking as though YouTube channel Bellular News' assertions that it could cost around $110,000 to fully gear up in Diablo Immortal may actually have been a massive underestimate on their part.
Of course, to say that Quin69 has gained nothing from the experience would be a little inaccurate. For one thing, the streamer has picked up thousands of new followers across his socials since shooting to notoriety, which will no doubt have helped to finance his expensive new addiction. He also has a pretty OP setup in Diablo Immortal, as evidenced by his daily excursions into the game's PvP.
