To the surprise of many, Twitch overturned Ross' permanent ban and brought him back to the platform. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the controversial return has lifted Ross' Twitch channel to even greater heights.
According to reported viewership of Adin Ross' Twitch channel since he returned, Ross has seen a significant increase in average viewers for 2022. Through the early months of 2022, Ross saw average viewership drop to below 50,000 total viewers. His first day back, the AdinRoss Twitch channel's average daily viewership spiked to above 100,000 total. The days following saw numbers rising to an average of over 115,000 with a peak of over 154,000 viewers.

A specific explanation for the increased viewership for AdinRoss' channel isn't clear, but this trend of banned Twitch streamers returning to a larger audience is common. Audiences tend to check out controversial content creators to see what's going on. It helps that Ross has been streaming consistently since he returned to Twitch, too, as its allowed him to fully capitalize on the wave of support from within his viewership.
Just because Ross is seeing a surge of viewership now doesn't mean it's going to last, of course. The viewership peak for Ross since his return was in the first three days.
