Dexter: Resurrection Casts Uma Thurman as Series Regular
has joined the cast of Dexter: Resurrection.
Dexter: Resurrection is a forthcoming Showtime original series that will see Michael C. Hall reprise his role as Dexter Morgan. The cast of the series also includes David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Harrison Morgan, and James Remar as Harry Morgan.
Per Deadline, Thurman has been tapped to play a character named Charley, who will serve as a series regular in Dexter: Resurrection. Charley is the “Head of Security for mysterious billionaire Leon Prater” and a “former Special Ops officer” who “worked various high-level private security jobs before taking on her position as the resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman for Prater.”
Thurman is known for playing Mia Wallace in 1994’s Pulp Fiction and Beatrix Kiddo/The Bride in both 2003’s Kill Bill: Volume 1 and 2004’s Kill Bill: Volume 2, all of which were directed by Quentin Tarantino. Her filmography also includes 1997’s Batman & Robin, 2001’s Tape, 2003’s Paycheck, 2005’s The Producers, 2010’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, 2023’s Red, White & Royal Blue, and more.
Production on Dexter: Resurrection is now underway in New York. Clyde Phillips serves as the showrunner for the series and as an executive producer alongside Hall, Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lily Burns. Marcos Siega serves as a producing director and is directing six episodes of the series, while Monica Raymund is directing four.
Dexter: Resurrection, which is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution, will premiere this summer.
Meanwhile, a new Dexter series titled Dexter: Original Sin premiered on Paramount+ with Showtime in December 2024. Serving as a prequel to the original Dexter series, new episodes of Dexter: Original Sin are released on Fridays, with the season finale then airing on February 14, 2025.
