One of the most prolific modern indie game publishers, Devolver Digital, is known for its over-the-top game E3 game showcases, though fans may have been worried about its 2022 showing after this year's E3 got canceled. Fans of Devolver's «Chief Synergy Officer» Nina Struthers can breathe a sigh of relief, however.
According to Devolver Digital's official Twitter account, the publisher is moving ahead with its 2022 showcase after all, and it seems like it's going to be yet another exercise in ridiculousness if its «preview» is anything to go by. The show already has a countdown in place, and indie gaming fans now have a date to look forward to.

The next Devolver Digital game showcase is slated to launch on June 9, 3:00 PM Pacific, as per the official announcement. The reason why a great number of players are particularly excited about Devolver's shows is that they are deliberately absurd and shocking, and sometimes even outright disturbing. In fact, the one-of-a-kind Devolver Digital E3 2021 VHS tape got sold for $1,000 in a charity event, meaning that the only precedent for a Devolver show is that it is completely unprecedented.
While Devolver's 2022 game showcase is bound to feature a very wide array of different games, it seems like the publisher might give Cult of the Lamb, in particular, more time and attention than most other games might get. The studio's flagship roguelite has been previously compared to Happy Tree Friends due to its juxtaposition of cutesy and horrific, and Devolver seems to be intrigued by the premise.
