The latest expansion for Destiny 2, the highly anticipated The Witch Queen, will release at the end of February following a delay in 2021. The new DLC will be available for play on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and Windows PC. The release of the new expansion will arrive alongside Destiny 2's Season 16: Season of the Chosen, starting off the next year of content ahead of Destiny 2: Lightfall.
Developer Bungie has conjured up a lot for the successful long-running online shooter. Based on the information shown for the upcoming expansion Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, it appears the DLC will include more content than Beyond Light. Since the release of Destiny in 2014, there has been at least one major expansion with each passing year, and 2021 went by without as The Witch Queen was delayed. There are four different editions of Destiny 2: The Witch Queen available for preorder, each featuring different amounts of content at various prices with the Standard Edition at $60 USD featuring the main DLC.

There are new locations and new enemies awaiting in the latest Destiny 2 expansion, which has a release date of February 22, 2022. Destiny 2: Witch Queen introduces Savathûn’s Throne World. The Throne World will feature three zones along with the new raid, Sunken Pyramid, and including the throne of Savathûn, The Witch Queen herself. The Witch Queen’s Hive Guardians will be the main enemies of the new expansion who can interestingly wield the Light, just as the Guardians can.
