Rumors suggest that Sony is creating its own Xbox Game Pass service rival, with the unannounced project being referred to as Spartacus.
Xbox Game Pass was first launched in 2017, and since then it has drawn many gamers to Microsoft's line of consoles. For a monthly fee users are given unlimited access to over 100 games, including recent releases like Hitman Trilogy, Halo Infinite and Madden NFL 22. Subscribing to Xbox Game Pass also gives gamers access to other services, like Xbox Live Gold and EA Play. Nintendo has created its own rival subscription service called Switch Online, and Sony's Project Spartacus looks poised to provide PlayStation gamers with their very own digital library in the near future. Xbox head Phil Spencer believes a PlayStation Game Pass is inevitable, though time will tell how Sony differentiates itself from the competition.
