The release of Destiny 2's latest expansion, The Witch Queen, has been met with largely positive feedback from the community, in particular for the Void 3.0 rework and Legendary campaign. However, despite Bungie's emphasis on weapon crafting, RNG is still playing a key role in what players are using, what they can craft, and the perks available on craftable weapons. To this point, players are asking Bungie to address the seemingly low weapon drop rates in The Witch Queen's new Wellspring activity.
The Witch Queen is the latest expansion for Destiny 2, which sees players venture into the Throne World of Savathun, the Hive god of cunning, to learn how she gained the Light, battle her Light-powered Hive guardians, and what must be done to take it back. One of the places players face off with Hive guardians is the aforementioned Wellspring, a new six-player matchmade activity where players either attack or defend a major source of Light inside the Throne World. The activity rotates daily between attack and defend, with players able to earn two of four available Throne World weapons tied to each option and the respective boss.

It is this activity's drop rate, as mentioned above, which is proving to be a headache for many players who are voicing their grievances online due to its impact on weapon crafting. Reddit user JustVerySleepy voiced his complaint in a thread on Destiny 2's official subreddit, saying they ran the activity for 4 hours and were unable to get a Deepsight resonance weapons to drop in that whole time. Several players echoed this in the comments, saying they would get that day's particular weapon to drop but not one that was helpful to quest or crafting
