Bungie is a developer with a long and storied history, making sci-fi shooters across generations. It has been in the business for 30 years and is celebrating its anniversary with a special event in Destiny 2, adding several weapons that are clear callbacks to Halo, Bungie's previous franchise.
While they're legally distinct, they carry their predecessor's spirit. Destiny 2's Forerunner is clearly based on Halo's Magnum, and the Other Half Sword is a cheeky play on The Covenant's Energy Sword.
