The Burden of Guilt Fusion Rifle is a brand new weapon in Destiny 2, and its god roll is a fantastic option for Guardians who love Stasis weapons. The Burden of Guilt is the third Stasis Fusion Rifle to become part of the weapon pool in Destiny 2, but it's the first one that also has an Adaptive Frame. This type of Fusion Rifle is already rare enough in the game, with uncommon options available such as Dream Breaker and Techeun Force. Given the rarity of this weapon and the popularity of its perks, it's likely to become a staple in both PvP and PvE.
The Burden of Guilt is actually one of four new Fusion Rifles that have been added during Season of the Haunted, five if the Stormchaser Linear Fusion Rifle is included in the mix. When The Witch Queen expansion launched, the new Vow of the Disciple Raid activity included the first-ever Stasis Fusion Rifle, allowing players to equip the weapon type in their Kinetic slot. Riptide, the Rapid-Fire Frame Crucible reward weapon, is another Stasis Fusion Rifle that was introduced this season as well. With the Burden of Guilt accessible to Guardians now, players have multiple options for Fusion Rifles available in the Kinetic slot.

Guardians can only get the Burden of Guilt by playing in the Trials of Osiris. Like all Trials weapons, Burden of Guilt can be earned as a Pinnacle reward, redeemed through Trials engrams, and earned by playing matches with Flawless cards. Furthermore, like the new Forgiveness Sidearm in Destiny 2, this Fusion Rifle can also be unlocked as players rank up their Trials reputation with Saint-14 in the Tower.
