A report from VentureBeat claims publisher Electronic Arts is now aiming to release its eagerly-anticipated Dead Space remake sometime in early 2023. Following the project's announcement last summer, journalist Jeff Grubb reported that EA internally had its sights set on a late 2022 launch for the Dead Space remake. Neither the publisher nor developer Motive Studios ever corroborated as much, though hopes remain high that Isaac Clarke's return to the spotlight will take shape sooner rather than later.
After months of rumors, EA announced its plans to revisit Dead Space during a July 2021 EA Play Live broadcast. This particular reveal closed the digital showcase, with an atmospheric teaser trailer and a promise that the original Visceral Games opus would be rebuilt from the ground up for PC and new-gen consoles. As noted above, Star Wars Squadrons developer Motive Studios is helming production on the remake, led by Game Director Eric Baptizat who served in a similar role on Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

On the eve of another Dead Space remake deep dive from Motive Studios, VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb reports that Electronic Arts internally plans to ship the title early next year. Previously, Grubb claimed that sources close to the project informed him of the publisher's intent to release Dead Space no later than 2022. Such plans have apparently changed, with the journalist alleging that the goal now rests in using the extra time to truly deliver a crowd-pleasing experience from top to bottom. At the time of writing, EA itself has yet to confirm or deny the VentureBeat report in question.
