Warning: Spoilers ahead for Catwoman #43
Fans who are eager to label Harley Quinn as the «Deadpool» of the DC Universe may be woefully misinformed. A bonding moment with Catwoman shows that Harley has a few positive qualities that really help her stand out from Marvel's Merc with a Mouth.
While Harley may have gotten her start as the sidekick of the Joker, the character has taken leaps and bounds in the last decade to become her own person. Since breaking free of the Joker's toxic influence and abuse, Quinn has gone on her own adventures with a number of DC villains and heroes. Her star has risen thanks to her popularity among fans and she can be found in a staggering number of books. However, her overexposure combined with her wacky behavior and predilection for dangerous situations has invited a few comparisons to Marvel's popular and equally chaotic Deadpool.

Despite a few surface-level similarities, the two couldn't be more different and nothing says it more than a bonding experience with Selina Kyle in Catwoman #43 by Tini Howard and Bengal. Desperately needing to get out of the city, Selina brings Harley along for a road trip, who's more than excited to come along for the ride. Harley does her diligent duties as a friend and tries to keep Catwoman's mind off of her troubles with her usual silly humor and the proposition of a roller derby competition. Quinn's presence brings Selina a notable peace she'd been needing and notes in an inner monologue that as erratic as someone like Harley is, she's a very down-to-earth person. Catwoman admires that after everything that her friend has been through, she still manages to just enjoy life.
